Why Castle Weddings Are Preferred
Many brides seem themselves from a very young age as being a princess of sorts on their wedding day. What could be a better place for a princess to get married than a castle? Castle weddings are growing today in popularity and this is not the only reason why.
A castle wedding out of town allows guests to turn the wedding into a mini vacation and because the guest list for an out of town wedding is usually smaller than a traditional church/reception hall wedding allows the couple to save some money on food and drinks.
Castles usually have a romantic and breathtaking atmosphere all their own. Very little is needed in the way of extra decoration, again allowing the couple to save money. The couple can have anyone they would like to perform the actual ceremony. This is especially nice if the bride and groom are of different faiths and want clergy from both to perform a part of the ceremony. Many churches even in these modern times still will not even consider allowing this.
Many castles offer total packages that include lodging, meals, clergy and the ceremony for a set price. This is easier than having your wedding at a church and a reception hall. There is one destination and the bride and groom do not have to hurry between homes, church and reception halls. They have more time to spend with guests and to relax. Many castles also have lodging accommodations within and this also allows the bride and groom another measure of relaxation, not having to leave the reception and travel to a hotel to spend the night before leaving for a honeymoon. They simply go to their room in the castle and relax after their big day.
